Health awareness & skills development were the focus of a Women’s Month event for Persons Deprived of Liberty at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Dagupan City, on March 25, 2025, organized by the Philippine American Association of Georgia and the Inner Wheel Club of Dagupan East.

The program began with a Cervical Cancer Orientation & Awareness session led by Dr. Mary Christine Paragas, an OB-Gyne specialist and president of the Inner Wheel Club of Dagupan East. She provided crucial information on cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment, empowering the participants to prioritize their reproductive health.

This was followed by a Massage Therapy Training Program conducted by Coach Analyn Aduan, a licensed teacher & massage therapist from the Department Of Health. The hands-on session introduced participants to basic massage techniques, equipping them with a potential livelihood skill for the future.

To further support the beneficiaries, PAMAG provided hygiene kits and snacks, contributing to a more meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.

To further support their rehabilitation & boost their morale, the members of the Inner Wheel Club and guests also purchased and patronized their handmade bead bags, a product of their livelihood program. By doing so, we recognized their talents & skills, encouraging them to continue developing their craft while on the path to reformation.
This initiative highlighted the importance of women’s health, empowerment, and self-sufficiency, leaving a positive impact on all participants.
